Rider confidence definitely affects the horse, but it is a journey together between horse and rider that develops confidence. Some folks are fearless which can be perceived as confidence, but fearlessness will always find eventual disaster. Wisdom develops confidence and that develops in the journey with the horse. The greatest desire of the human spirit is freedom – I believe this is what draws so many of us to horses, to experience true freedom. Wendy experienced that freedom and oneness, she wrote; “I had an amazing break through with my horse yesterday. After watching many of your videos and trying many of your techniques. It was you riding with no bit in your videos. After saddling my horse he was getting so anxious and when i tried bridling him he would go nuts, so a light went off and i could hear your voice in my head about the bit in his mouth. So i rode him with his halter. I was somewhat nervous as it just seemed odd riding like this and also i just kept thinking he’s just going to run away and I was so amazed how he acted, he was so relaxed carried his head down and kept chewing. He was so relaxed. It was so great. I finally listened to my horse and it worked. I want to thank you for sharing you wisdom with us. Your a great blessing! Thank you so so much”. Wendy D., MI
